Position: Director (HRDC) - BS-19

Location:

  • National Library of Pakistan, Islamabad

Minimum Qualification / Experience:

  1. Second Class or Grade 'C' Master's degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science or equivalent qualification from a University recognized by HEC.
  2. Twelve (12) years (post-qualification) experience in the relevant field.

Age Limit:

  • 32-40 years plus five (5) years general relaxation in the upper age limit.

Application Procedure:

  1. All applications must be submitted online through FPSC's website www.fpsc.gov.pk.
  2. Candidates may edit online applications only once within the closing date to rectify any omissions.
  3. Information claimed in the online application form will be treated as final.
  4. No hardcopy of the online application is required.
  5. No manual application will be accepted for General Recruitment cases. Only online applications will be processed.

Application Fee:

  1. BS-16 to 17: Rs. 300/-
  2. BS-18: Rs. 750/-
  3. BS-19: Rs. 1200/-
  4. BS-20 and above: Rs. 1500/-

The fee may be deposited in the nearest Government treasury, branch of the National Bank of Pakistan, or a State treasury authorized to transact business on behalf of the Government.

Relaxation in Upper Age Limit:

Maximum age limit as prescribed under the Recruitment Rules shall be relaxed in accordance with the initial Appointment to Civil Posts (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rules, 1993.

Shortlisting Criteria for Interview:

Candidates will be shortlisted for interviews as per the Commission's policy contained in General Instructions.

Documents Required:

  1. After the test/exam, candidates on higher merit positions will be asked to furnish attested copies of requisite documents.
  2. Equivalence certificate issued by HEC/relevant forum may be furnished to authenticate claims.
  3. Experience from Firms/Companies/Institutions/Organizations/Banks/NGOs will be accepted if well-known and registered.

Admission Certificate:

Admission Certificates for Screening/Descriptive Test will be placed on the FPSC website a couple of weeks before the actual date of examination. Candidates are advised to frequently visit the website for updates.


Conduct of Test:

  1. Original CNIC, Treasury Receipt, and downloaded copy of the Admission Certificate are mandatory at the time of Screening/Written Test.
  2. Without the original Treasury Receipt, candidates will not be allowed entry into the examination hall.

Change of Centre:

Candidates are allowed to request a change of Examination Centre online at least one month before the commencement of the examination.
